1. INDOOR TREES IN THE LIVING ROOM

Unless you live in a small apartment, indoor trees are coming back in fashion because of their ability to bring nature directly inside your home in a way that no other plant can. The power and aesthetic of one single tall, leafy tree placed at the entrance or in the living room is something unparalleled.

2. MONSTERA'S DECORATIVE POWER

There is nothing better than a monstera to add a tropical flavour to your home décor. Thanks to its recognizable large leaves it will bring an exotic touch and lighten up any of your rooms. It is such a versatile plant that you can basically place it in any vase and in any corner of your home.

3. AROMATIC PLANTS IN THE KITCHEN

I absolutely love when a kitchen smells of aromatic plants. Even better when rosemary, oregano, basil and thyme are on display in the kitchen and they immediately take you back in time. Just using a small selection of aromatic plants can help you create a warm, rustic and elegant Mediterranean style kitchen.

4. PALMS FOREVER

More than a trend, palm trees are an institution given to the fact that they are so easy to take care of. They have the ability to bring life and happiness even to the most boring corner of your home and create a joyful home decoration. Palm leaves will overwhelm your interior décor with their exotic shapes and deep green leaves.

5. THE FRESHNESS OF A FICUS

Is there any interior decorator who hasn't used a ficus last year? Well, I am guilty of that too. In my interior decorating projects in Fuerteventura I have used the ficus tree many times both indoor and outdoor. It is a beautiful, elegant tree that will stay in trend in 2022 and personally, I believe its leaves are so spectacular and able to add an extra design layer into the home décor.

6. THE PURIFYING QUALITY OF SPATYPHILES

One of the many reasons we like to be surrounded by plants in our homes is because of their inner air purifying qualities. After NASA confirmed it, we can safely say that Spatyphiles is the ultimate purifying plant. You can safely add it into your bedroom décor or home office and from a decorative point of view, this plant emanates a retro-vintage style vibration in the space.

7. EPIPREMNUM AUREUM

Also knows as Devil's Ivy, this plants can become your best friend and ally if you love plants but you simply don't have a green thumb. It is almost impossible to kill it (even if you try hard) and it can resist even when placed in a dark spot. If you let it grow, you can create a graceful decoration for your kitchen or living room.

8. SANSEVIERIAS ARE NEVER ENOUGH

Another plant that does not require too much water or care is the magnificent and robust sansevieria. When I decorate a reading corner or chillout area, I like to place this plant in a beautiful and colourful vase next to a comfortable armchair. A plant that creates amazing shapes and lines with its long leaves.

9. CACTUS DECOR

Cactus is a category of its own. On one hand, you can use small cacti and succulents to decorate bedside tables and centrepieces. On the other, your interior designer can design and decorate your outdoor terrace or garden using a mix of different cacti to create a truly desert-like cactus garden. I am always amazed when I see tall cacti trees in Fuerteventura because they are stunning and literally transform any garden in an enchanted place.

10. FERNS-LICIOUS

With its rustic appeal and wild beauty this plant is perfect for an industrial or modern rustic interior design. It can be placed in a metallic pots to create an interesting contrast or in a pot made of fiber and natural materials to truly elevate its essence. I personally like them when they are hanging from the ceiling. This decorative touch is a must when it comes to ferns.
